The crew at Publish took it to Big Bear Mountain to flick the forthcoming Spring ’12 collection after gorging on a full plate of trade shows in weeks past, and while the setting is woodsy and damned-near Deliverance-ish, the clothing is anything but built for banjo boys.
Spring ’12 finds a return to the Publish trademark of serviceable-yet-refined gear in which the outerwear, denim, tees and accessories are manufactured with supreme attention to detail and premium cut & sew. At once contemporary and classic in aesthetics, the jackets and buttondowns this season are especially timeless with innovation sure to take them into 2013 and beyond – hidden pockets, reversible qualities, and dope detail is definitely a point of pride for this crew.
On a personal level, I’m really digging how Publish pushes the front lines on camouflage treatments - almost looks as though you’re staring at a Marine while on some killer mushrooms. And, goddamn it, this season’s jackets again… subtle color blocking, how I love thee.
