Karmaloop just re-upped on these joints in both black and camo, and I gotta say, I’ve been stoked on Supra‘s Backwoods Sneaker all winter. And if you’ve been living in or have visited the Northeast since November, you already know the elements have not been the friendliest in recent history… but that’s no matter to The Backwoods.

Rocking all-weather qualities with a boot/sneaker hybrid design from the bottom up, the signature ligthweight SupraFoam outsole is coupled with a heavy-duty rubber tread to catch grip in any terrain while providing supreme rip-stop (a.k.a. SupraTuf) canvased comfort with steel eyelets and woven rope laces holding it all together. A gusseted tongue brings not only added support and stability, but further protection from all of this shitty weather to boot (that’s a pun).

Adding to the rugged aesthetic is the collaborative design between Supra and rap legend Prodigy of Mobb Deep fame. There’s good reason why The Backwoods have a throwback quality to the boots of the ’90′s and says P himself, “Supra goes right along with my whole style.”

“I like to bring something to the table,” Prodigy said of the collaboration late last year. “That’s just how I am, I don’t want to look like everybody else. I want people to look at [The Backwoods] like ‘Oh, what he got on?’”
